About Jason Hughes

Jason Hughes is originally from Old Saybrook, Connecticut.  Jason was whole-heartedly supported by his family to pursue his first passion in life, tennis.  His high rankings in tournament tennis throughout New England set the stage for unlimited achievement in the sport he loved so much.  Unfortunately, at the age of 16 Jason was involved in an automobile accident that claimed the life of his best friend, and he sustained Traumatic Brain Injury, was in a coma, paralyzed, and had a twenty-five percent chance of survival.  Jason also went through a very spiritual near-death experience that would ultimately change his life forever.  After a three-year physical recovery, Jason embarked on a whole new journey, one that was now revolved around love, healing, peace, and happiness.

Jason landed in Boston in 1995 after playing tennis competitively for Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas in 1994.  He finished his undergraduate studies at Northeastern University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.  He also played NCAA Division One tennis for the tennis team.

Jason went back to his high-school and became a teacher, public speaker, and tennis coach for the Boy’s and Girl’s Tennis Teams of Old Saybrook Senior High School for the next few years.

Jason felt compelled to enhance his desire to help others heal, so he enrolled in a Graduate Program at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.  Three years later he received his Master’s Degree in Holistic Counseling.

In 2004, Jason threw all his belongings in his car and drove across the country to pursue all his creative endeavors in Los Angeles, California.  Presently, Jason practices Holistic Health with private clients.  He also has his first book published, “One Man’s Love Story: A Near-Death Experience”.  He is also back on the tennis court in full force, and is a tennis professional at Beverly Hills Tennis Center.
